47. Though I strongly disagree with the way these "two people got together". There is NO WAY IN HELL that either of them would bring a "dangerous dog" into their home with their children.

It's not a pitbull either.

Might not agree with how they "got together", but they're not on the headlines for neglecting their children!!!! They show it can be done. Seems to me they are very responsible parents. Not too many Hollywood "stars" do that.

48. TROMBA1, you are a complete idiot. Pit bulls are NOT naturally dangerous. It is, 99% of the time, as with ANY breed of dog, the owners, or some other outside influence, that makes them mean and dangerous. Yes, some dogs can be born dangerous, but that's a VERY RARE occurrence, and doesn't happen often enough to warrant any concern.

I have owned Rottweilers and Pit Bulls over the past 15 years. NONE OF THEM were ever naturally mean, at all. In fact, every single one of them were very friendly to anyone, and great with kids. You NEVER had to worry about any of them hurting anyone, unless they were to be provoked, and that has NEVER happened yet. And right now, I have two Pit Bull/Rottweiler mixes that are basically 75- and 90-pound lap dogs, and would never, EVER hurt a soul. They are the sweetest dogs that I've personally ever had, and everyone who has ever come in contact with them, even the dog haters, and others who stereotype breeds, has had nothing but good things to say about them, and have instantly fallen in love with them. And that's all because I raised them with love and respect, never beating them, starving them, or otherwise abusing them.

Ignorance, abuse, and basic stupidity are the main reasons why some dogs, which again can be ANY breed, can become mean and vicious. Case in point: A relative of mine has a toy poodle, that weighs less than a pound, that is a LOT more vicious, and will try to bite anyone it comes near except its owner, than any of the Rottweilers or Pit Bulls I've ever owned. I've seen Dachshunds, Shih-tzus, and other Poodles that were actually meaner than any junkyard dog that I've ever encountered, and it was because their owners basically abused them in some way, such as starvation, beatings, or neglect. Yet, you don't see those kinds on the news, but I guess that's because that doesn't instill fear into people, or make people watch their programs, does it?

Basically, you have to LEARN about things before you pass judgment. That goes for anything you want to comment on, not just this particular subject. What you had typed here had made you sound so stupid and ignorant, I had to LAUGH when I read it. But, to actually shoot the animals, simply because they were Pit Bulls is no laughing matter, and your neighbor can press charges on you for animal cruelty, and possibly destruction of property. And, with what you've said, I'd GUARANTEE it that you made up the part about them snarling and baring their teeth at you. You simply hated them because you're ignorant and prejudiced, and you decided to "take care of the problem.:" People like you are why people like me are constantly having to defend ourselves, and the pets that we love, simply because of hate and ignorance. I hope you have fun in Hell, because with the way you seem to be, that's where you're headed when you (mercifully) die.

49. Sorry to dissapoint the American Bulldog fans, but that is ABSOLUTELY an American Pit Bull Terrier. I ought to know, I am the Executive Director of Legislative Affairs for an American Pit Bull Terrier Registry. I have owned, bred and exhibited dogs for 22 years. I have finished many conformation champions and competed one of the top weight pulling dogs in the country. I have written articles on correct breed structure and they have a very nice looking puppy. Exactly what a white APBT should look like at that age. And I believe that Brad has owned one before, so he would have chosen another one based on a positive previous experience. The wonderful truth of this breed is so far removed from the media myth created by extremist groups that want them killed and banned like PeTA and H$U$. It's why the dogs remain so popular inspite of the hate mongering and defamation. No intelligent and responsible dog owner should be afraid to adopt one of these dogs and give it a loving home, even one of Michael Vick's. I wouldn't hesitate to take one of his but the "feds' will probably have Law Dogs train them for bomb sniffing or narcotics work. They are also used for search and rescue, service dogs for special needs persons, therapy dogs, etc. Look up the Villa Lobos Rescue Center in CA...

51. Exactly, Jeremy. A 'Pit Bull' is a redneck term for a Staffordshire Terrier; that's a name given them by the idiots that right them in a PIT. I've owned them, Rotties, Chows....every type of dog that's labeled as 'born mean'. The most viscious dogs I ever saw were the spoiled lap dogs my mom loved....Chihuahua, Poodle, Pomeranians....all those little yippy dogs. So before spewing YOUR personal opinion about them....learn the facts. Also, I'd much rather live in a neighborhood of STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIERS, than a nutcase that shoots a gun at anything that moves.....'pukes in my mouth at the stupidity'

54. Idiots! It does NOT matter how lovingly a Pit Bull is raised, this is a dog that HAS BEEN BRED FOR FIGHTING AND AGGRESSION. Breeding for such traits is a matter of GENETICS, not upbringing. Many a "nice, loving" Pit Bull has mauled a child unexpectedly and I speak from the experience of knowing families with them, one of which lived next door.

57. I must agree, this doesn't look like a pit bull. The most obvious differences to me are the dog's build (a pit bull tends to be shorter and stockier). Also a pit bull's ears are routinely cropped very short and skinny.

58. Frankly, who cares!!!!!! These 2 idiots are so hungry for attention that they go to foreign countries to adopt kids. What wrong with adopting Children from the United States? Well the answer to that is pretty simple. They won't get the attention they crave from all over the world! These two make me sick! I've got better things to worry and care about, like how about that nut job from Iran being given a platform to spew his lies at supposedly a great college! And the worst part was, these stupid un american college students were clapping for him! Whats wrong with this country? He said they have no gays in Iran, duh- thats cause they kill them. And they treat their women like dogs, worse! Wher was the gay and lesbian alliance and the womens rights groups protesting yesterday? They didn't bother to show up. And then they want to say they have it so bad in America? I got an idea, move to Iran and see how much freedom you have there!
