78. Pit Bulls are not a breed but are a general designation for various purebred terriers and/or mixed breeds of those.

A young dog growing up along with kids can be best but both (the dog and the kids) NEED to be supervised by someone who knows what they are doing (dog-training and kid-training wise).

I don't know if the Pitts-Jolies are capable of this themselves or if they've hired a dog/kid nanny.

The dog will need to be trained on what is acceptable just as much as the kids need to be trained on how to act around dogs. It is a two way street and mis-steps can be painful !!!

They most probably purchased her from a breeder who gains financially from producing too many dogs without having enough homes in the world for all of them, NOT INCLUDING THE DOGS IN SHELTERS, which number in the MILLIONS, people.

Everytime I read an ignorant dumbass posting on this site, I cringe. THIS is what is out there voting? One pit bull in my neighborhood killed, therefore ALL pit bulls are bad. So by the same logic one could argue: One black man robbed my store therefore all black men are bad? Ah it's people like this who don't have the intelligence to see beyond one single incident that screw up this country - and these screw ups come from all racial and socio-economic backgrounds. Ok. Sorry I'll get off my soap box now.

ANY dog can be trained to be a killer if trained that why. It's not the dog that is the killer, it's the a*hole who owns the dog. Pit Bulls, Rotties and Chows are powerful breeds and bottom feeders who run dog fights or think it's cool to have a "tough dog" exploit the power of the animals turning them into killers.

88. Hate to tell ya, but it is owners that are dangerous, not dogs! APBT's (or any other bully breed, for the record) aren't people-aggressive unless they are taught to be. Maybe whomever wrote this story should wiki the temperament of the breed and get factual info before posting nonsense. I totally just lost a lot of respect for you guys.
